Our congregational life at Wingham Protestant Reformed Church centres around the Word of God. The most important part of our life as a church is the preaching of the gospel twice each Lord's Day. But in addition to Sundays we have other opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship throughout the week.
We have various Bible studies that take place at different times throughout the month:
We have an Adult Bible study that meets bi-weekly on Thursday evenings. This year we are studying the book of Galatians.
Our Young People's Bible study also meets bi-weekly on Sunday evenings.
We have recently begun a Young Adult Bible study that meets bi-weekly on Thursday evenings on the off-week of Adult Bible Study. The group is studying 2 Thessalonians.
We also believe that our children must be taught the truths of the Bible as well as the doctrines of the church. Therefore, we have weekly catechism classes for our children throughout the school year. The catechism classes are:
Grade 1 through grade 3 - Old and New Testament History for Beginners
Grade 4 and grade 5 - Old and New Testament History for Juniors
Grade 6 and grade 7 - Old and New Testament History Seniors
Grade 8 and grade 9 - Heidelberg Catechism
Grade 10 and grade 11 - Essentials of Reformed Doctrine
Grade 12 and up - Pre and Post Confession
